SWaP-C for HOT DETECTORS

The modern needs of the electro optical market for small low-power and light-weight IR systems are impelling development of High Operating Temperature (HOT) IR detectors, requiring dedicated cryocoolers design.

The design of Ricor’s HOT cryocoolers focused on “SWaP-C” configuration means small Size, low Weight, low Power consumption and attractive Cost, in order to optimize IDDCA for modern compact thermal imagers.

Ricor’s SWaP-C HOT family includes five cryocooler models beginning  with the K562 and the  K527 designed to operate at 95-110K in the first phase and afterwards optimized to work at 95-150K ,including versions with  a short finger like the K527 short and the K562SI (Short improved). The rotary K580 and the dual opposed linear K588 are designed to operate at 130-180K. Both cryocoolers include compact digital temperature controllers and integrate with a generic cold finger.

In addition, Ricor’s miniature Cryocooler is also adapted to work with HOT detectors such as the K508N model in order to improve cooler efficiency and reliability.
