There is an increase in needs for electro optical systems that will comply with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) directive requiring development of dedicated cryocooler derivatives, mainly for commercial applications.
The development of RoHS derivative is focused on unique materials, special coatings, and soldering of electronic components.
Ricor modified the design of the K508 Cryocooler in order to meet RoHS compliance requirements and also extend the reliability by design. The new version called the K508 RoHS has a target of 25,000 operating hours and will be the RoHS version for the K508 and K508N models while maintaining the same interfaces.
Ricor will consider modifying additional traditional cryocooler models to be complied with RoHS requirements based on market needs.Click here to read full article >
