There is an increased interest in receiving an alert from a cooled IR system that works mainly 24hours/7days prior to the onset of the cryocooler’s end of life failure.
The Rotary Cryocoolers performances are quite stable during long term operation, whereas the degradation of performance comes close to Cryocooler end of life, thereby making its predication a challenge.
Ricor is interested in developing a module that will be able to predict the end of life of a rotary Cryocooler and will provide an alert at the system level before reaching the failure stage.
Such a project needs validation at the cryocooler level by performing life demonstration tests and cooperation with system manufacturers to validate the module at the system level.
