This department was established in 2001 and 
operates in close collaboration with
the
Institute of Superconductivity at Bar- Ilan University, Israel.
Ricor’s HTS department offers integrated solutions based on Dry cooled HTS magnets, including electro-magnetic and thermal design, HTS coils fabrications, supply of cryocoolers, cryostat design and fabrication, controls, passive and active magnet protection circuitry and system integration services.
• The present in-house design and production capabilities enable the company to offer tailor made integrated solutions for industrial, medical, scientific and high power applications
• Ricor has special relations with world leading HTS wire manufacturers and has developed its own coil winding techniques (patents pending) – wet or dry winding
• The Ricor – Bar Ilan University team is carrying out an R&D project, partly supported by the Israeli Ministry of Industry and Commerce, calling for a feasibility demonstration of a novel type inductive HTS Fault Current Limiter (FCL)
• Ricor maintains special relations with European and American companies active in this field in order to promote the use of HTS based products
